Measuring and exploring the structure of teachers’ educational beliefs

• This study reports on developing teachers’ subject-specific language beliefs scales. The developed scales have a reasonable fit and can be used in future research. Teachers agree with both teacher- student-regulation of learning processes. found two structures: constructivist traditional one. clusters teachers that correspond to the structures. explores structure French educational beliefs. First, instruments measure these are adapted developed. Data is collected through focus group discussions an online survey ( n = 302). Factor analyses reveal three-factor general about teaching learning: ‘beliefs student regulation processes knowledge construction’, teacher processes’, reproduction’.
